The Association of Russian-speaking Theaters (ART) is a membership based organization that strengthens the artistic and cultural impact of theatre for Russian-speaking audiences by empowering, connecting, and inspiring our members.
The purpose of the Association of Russian Speaking Theatres is to help preserve the Russian language and culture in the United States, support the achievements of and communication between Russian-speaking people, and exchange creative ideas. ART unites theatres, organizations, and individuals throughout the world who make theatre in Russian for children, young people, and adults.
ART is dedicated to the artistic, cultural and educational rights of Russian speaking people across the globe and advocates on behalf of all regardless of nationality, cultural identity, ethnicity, or religion.
ART brings people together so that they can share knowledge and practices within the field of theatre in order to deepen understanding, develop practice, create new opportunities and strengthen the global sector, on behalf of everyone everywhere.
